Xotic XB-2 (Walnut) - SOLD

The XB-2 is the flagship model of Xotic basses. Handcrafted in Los Angeles by Master Luthier Hiro Miura, this bass is made to perfection.

This bass is made with mahogany body topped with a gorgeous piece of walnut. It has a maple neck, with the trademark aluminum circular ring inlays on the ebony fingerboard. The fretwork on this bass is impeccable, allowing buzz-free insanely low action!

The XB-2 is equipped with Ken Armstrong humbuckers and the famed Tri-Logic 3 band preamp with 4 selectable frequencies for the mids. Tonally, this bass has a rich midrange that allows the tone to cut through the mix like butter. The ebony fingerboard brings a nice shimmer to the high end, giving it an unmistakable and characteristic tone. Both pickups can be switched individually between series and parallel mode, which offers a variety of tones from the thick fingerstyle to the scooped slap tone.

The XB-2 has been widely used by many top professional bassists around the globe, including Ric Fierabracci, John Pena and Kim Stone.  You can also make your dream bass by customizing a XB-2 to the woods and electronics of your choice, in any string configuration.
