Devon J5 - Burled Redwood (Sold)

The first thing that strikes you about the bass is the unique Burled Redwood top, deep rich colour with beautiful figuring. Coupled with the ash body and rosewood fingerboard, this bass has a warmer sound with a defined midrange. If you are looking for a tone that is less hifi, or if you like the Jaco tone from the bridge pickup, you will like this bass. The dark tones give it a very characteristic edge, especially if you are into fusion jazz.. ala Hadrien! The string through body feature provides excellent sustain. Bartolini humbuckers and an 18V NTMB preamp with mid selector provides a thick and punchy tone that cuts through the mix like butter!

This bass is great for players who plays rock and fusion jazz, looking for a darker sound with a defined midrange. Tonally versatile, and sounds great when slapped too! Check out our video and you will be convinced.
